Back at Peace River for
relaxation, pickleball, euchre, friends, and family.
Just down river from our camp site!
JoAnn and John join us for euchre.
We played til our butts were sore.
Dennis joined Dean Loveland to represent Peace River TT
in a tournament held in Port Charlotte.
We are on the right awaiting the competition.
A little action in the final game.
The Gold Medal winners.
All of the winners.
Victory lunch.
We all decided to walk the beach after the tournament.
No clue as to where to go next.
Rick and Jan (Judy's Niece) Gabhart visited us on the river.
The rain and cool temps kept us out of the water.
Judy's brother, Douglas, visited and we spent one day in Arcadia for
the Antique Fair--here we are taking a break in the Saloon.
Doug's wife, Paulette on the portrait side of the camera.
Back to antiquing.
This "thing" has something to do with cattle!
but that is not what Judy thought.
After dinner chores--handing dishes through the window.
Home made ice cream churned by the hit and miss
engine behind Judy, Paulette, and Doug.
Plenty of old/restored tractors at the Pioneer Days festival.
More celebrating at the motor home.
This time with CA friends Gary and Gundi.
In Avon Park's Jacaranda Hotel.
We (again!) stuffed ourselves at the Culinary school's buffet.
Gary and Gundi geocache, so we did too.
Of course there was pickleball.
And local touring-this is Solomon's Castle.
At a power plant warm water discharge area on the
Tampa Bay, manatees gather to keep warm.
Couldn't find any!
Just these two.
Hiked instead.
Heading to the Shrimp Festival in Fort Myers Beach.
Walking was faster, on the way over.
Both the beach and the Festival were crowded.
Two beauties?!
Stopped at another warm water discharge area.
Still no "real" luck.
Another beach walk allowed us to view this Gopher turtle.
And this Green heron.
