Since we travel between Florida and Indiana often,
it is difficult to find new experiences.
Some of these are, some are not, but all were worth it.

They are enjoying the "real" Florida at the Wacissa River headwaters.
Susan's son, Isaac must have gone off the rope swing into the
70 degree spring water over 200 times.
We were there for about 5 hours and he
only came up to have a little watermelon!
The stops through Tennessee.
We have visited the Georgia part of Chickamauga & Chattanooga NMP
and now the Tennessee portion.
The stroll on Look Out mountain included terrific views
from the inside of the clouds but not of the valley below.
Dedicated in 2015, Manhattan Project NHS,
is an historic look at the building
of the atomic bombs dropped on Japan.

We toured a flat top house.
These were constructed at Oak Ridge (the secret city)
as it grew into a large city for the secretive workers.
Our very first RV trip in our new Bounder motor home
included a stop here in 2002.
I think that we even had the same camp site.
Atop the mountain beside "the gap" at Pinnacle Point
affords nice views and a cool breeze just before a storm rolls through.

In the 1930's the highway was built right over the gap.
There was a requirement to restore the gap
when an alternate route was built.
In 1996 a tunnel was constructed and in 2002 restoration began.
Here are the results.
We were a little sore after a short hike up to Skylight cave
because our recent inactivity.
