Arizona Trip

 Arizona and Utah Trip

Bar and Grill in Tortilla Flat.
State Rt 88 east of Scottsdale in the Tonto National Forest.
Scenic drive through the desert and Superstition Mtns
 for lunch, beer, and atmosphere.

Weaver's Needle in the Superstitions.

Devil's Bridge hike end point in Sedona.
Do not miss Red Rock Country surrounding Sedona.
Stay in Sedona for a few days of shopping and sight seeing.
It is beautiful.
Hiking not on your list of activities?
Check out Pink Jeep Tours for back country sights.
There is an ad on this link.

Cathedral Rock saddle.  If you can make one hike, I suggest this one.
It is only .75 miles UP.  Don't take hiking sticks, you might need free hands.
You will have to climb some, but it is safe and spectacular.

Whisky Row in Prescott.
Great historical town with lots of saloons and brothels,
most of which are now shops.
Prescott was the territorial capital of AZ.

This ghost town is hopping, plenty of shopping, history, and lunching.
It is between Prescott and Sedona.

A little south of Page, AZ

East of Page, AZ

Valley of the Gods is "on route" to Arches NP in southeastern Utah.

There is a hike to Delicate Arch-not easy.
There is also a shorter hike to a view point.

This area is near Arches, outside Moab.  Worth a scenic drive!
Don't forget Canyonlands National Park, "around the corner" from Arches.  But for the best views into the canyon go to Dead Horse Point State Park between Canyonlands and Arches.

Scenic Highway 12 east of Bryce Canyon National Park.

Red Canyon west of Bryce Canyon National Park.

Heading into Zion from the east.

Again, the eastern side.

HooDoos west of Page, AZ and east of Zion NP and Kanab, UT.

North of Kingman, AZ, way north
